Waterford FC and Derry City will clash for the first time this season at the RSC this evening in the Airtricity League Premier Division.
The Blues won their opening game away to St Patrick's Athletic but lost their two home games to Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers (suffering two-nil defeats on both occasions).
Blues striker Michael O'Connor says those defeats havde now been binned and all thoughts are on the visit of the Candystripes; "Obviously got off to a good start against Pats but then the following Friday your playing in a storm - I don't think the match should have been on to be honest, but listen look you can make all the excuses in the world we weren't good enough in the second half either, then against Rovers we go down to 10 men, conditions aren't great again but listen it's only three games in, it's nothing to worry about - this Friday we can put it right again".
The club recently announced their support for 24-7 Cardiac Care for the South East and the team jerseys carry the support logo.
Mark Dunne is the Waterford FC Events Manager and he is asking everyone at Friday's match to light up the RSC in the 24th minute; "It's been a fantastic initiative so far for the club, there's been an outpouring of public support for it and rightly so for the services that are required, we're going to be encouraging everyone to take out their phones or if they don't have a light on the phone, bring a torch bring something that has a light on it it, literally light up all the stands just to show solidarity for the cause".

Elsewhere tonight in the top flight, after defeat to Shamrock Rovers last week, Dundalk will look to get their campaign back on track later.
Vinny Perth's side make the trip to Ballybofey to face Finn Harps. Kick off is at 8.
Also at 8 pm, Bohemians play host to Dublin rivals Shelbourne at Dalymount Park,
At 7.45, St. Patrick's Athletic entertain Cork City at Richmond Park.
