Waterford hurlers commence their National League campaign this afternoon.

Liam Cahill's charges welcome Munster-rivals Cork to Walsh Park.

The home side were beaten by the Rebels in their Munster-league clash before Christmas.

Cahill has handed league debuts to Irlaith Daly, Neil Montgomery, Jack Fagan and Dessie Hutchinson.

Déise boss Liam Cahill says the squad are keen to deliver a performance in front of the home fans; "We're really looking forward to this game, it's an important game for us, the result isn't the be all and end all I'm looking for a really good performance from my players, I'd be very hopeful that a good honest hard working Waterford team will turn up and put in a performance and hopefully the result will follow".

The action is underway at 2pm, WLR will broadcast the game live thanks to George Corbett Skoda, with commentary team Kieran O' Connor and Fergal Hartley.

There will be Traffic Restrictions before and during match.

A cordon will be put in place around Walsh Park from 12 pm to 4:30 pm.

Anyone who is found to be obstructing entrances or emergency routes will have their vehicle removed by the Gardai.

There are a number of Official Match Parking Areas which include, Mount Sion GAA Social Centre, Presentation Secondary School via Cannon Street, the Rear of Waterford Shopping Centre and Waterford Crystal Car Park.
