Ballymacarbry forward Michelle Ryan has retired from inter county football after nineteen seasons in a Waterford shirt.
She scored 1-3 off the bench in the 2015 All Ireland intermediate final against Kildare as the Deise regained their senior status.
She won Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3 medals and was named Munster ladies player of the year in 2017.

Michelle also played a key role for her club as Ballymacarbry lifted their 38th Co. title in a row in 2019 with a hard fought win over arch-rivals, Comeragh Rangers. Michelle will no doubt continue to serve her beloved club for many years to come.
Speaking to WLR Sport, Michelle says it was a tough decision to make; "It's something I've been mulling over the last couple of weeks and months, it was a very difficult decision, I'll always have huge emotional attachment to playing with @WaterfordLGFA"
