Sean Michael O'Regan was elected as the new county board chairman at last night's annual convention at a packed Lawlors Hotel in Dungarvan.

He is the first Kill club man to take up the position and he says that it is a great privilege; "To get to be Chairman of the County Board - it's a huge honour, I suppose I'm steeped in the GAA tradition my late father which is going back a long time now unfortunately he brought me into that arena and it festered from there, and anyone involved in the GAA that's what we're all about".

He has three goals for Waterford GAA in 2020; "We're definitely going to prepare our teams -  hopefully we can win as many games as we can, the redevelopment of Walsh Park, the delivery of the Strategic plan and the workings of what that might be".
