Mick McCarthy is looking for players to force their way into his thinking tonight.

He's named two debutants and two first time starters for the Republic of Ireland's friendly with New Zealand at Lansdowne Road.

Teenagers, Waterford's Lee O' Connor along with Troy Parrott both earn their first caps, while goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara and Jack Byrne both make their first starts.

Another Waterford-native, Tramore's Derrick Williams starts at left-back in his third International cap.

The likes of Robbie Brady, Ciaran Clark and Seani Maguire will also get their chance to impress the manager ahead of Monday's Euro 2020 qualifier with Denmark.

7.45 is the kick off time.

McCarthy says there's no pressure on Parrott; "One game doesn't define, Troy will need the help of everyone else, he's got a bright future ahead of him".

The Republic of Ireland Under 21's face Armenia in Yerevan today.

Their Euro 2021 qualifier kicks off at Noon Irish time.

The Under 19's take on Switzerland in their rescheduled qualifier in Salzburg from Noon.
