Investigations are ongoing into an incident at Mount Suir Manor apartments in Carrickphierish on Friday where two children fell from a second-floor balcony.

The children, a boy aged 3 and a girl aged 7, were hospitalised after they fell from their apartment balcony, at Block C, when a glass panel gave way. 

Thankfully, both children have now been released from hospital. The girl suffered minor injuries and the young boy, a bleed to his brain, but both are now home. 

The incident occurred around 11.40am on Friday. The family involved are now staying with the children's grandparents.

Damien was at the scene at Mount Suir on Friday for WLR after events unfolded - and he also spoke to the family involved yesterday (Sunday) about the shock and horror of the incident.
