A special commemoration was held at Ballyvooney Cove near Stradbally on Sunday last to mark 100 years since a Spanish steamer, the Cirilo Amoros ran aground.

Locals sprung into action on the night, helping bring the crew of more than 30 men to safety.

WLR's Kieran Foley attended the event to find out more about this remarkable story.
