Somehow, in the blink of an eye, it has been 80 years of Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club. Across those 8 decades, the club has evolved.
Now in 2026, it has grown to become a stronghold of the sailing industry locally.
Commodore Austin Flynn joined Ollie and Dymphna on air to reflect on those years.
From the building of the first boats and the links to hurling- to the inclusion of a young sailing fleet, the club is persistent in its success.
However, one issue remains to the fore for the club and that is the mud in Dungarvan Harbour and the need for proper dredging to take place.
With the latest on this and much more from Dungarvan Harbour Sailing Club, Austin spoke on The Big Breakfast Blaa.
Keep up to date on all the latest from The Big Breakfast Blaa with Ollie and Dymphna from 6am until 10am daily.
