The Waterford outfit, which has been up and running since 2014, takes to the stage at 8pm on Saturday May 25th at Garter Lane. You'll find out more details here.
As well as Intonations themselves, you'll get a chance to hear fantastic acts like Lynsey Penkert, Kayleigh Quinlan, Ray Collins and local male vocal group Bana Rua.
What sort of choir is Intonations?
They're a mixed gender choir under the direction of Wayne Brown, and they pride themselves on singing for enjoyment and sociability. Intonations have a massive repertoire at this stage, with a playlist from the musicals, big rock hits from Queen and Bon Jovi, Disney classics, traditional Irish and plenty of pop.
In May 2017, the choir picked up a much-coveted AIMS Award in New Ross, for their version of Feed the Birds in the Disney category.
Intonations also picked up an award in March, at the 2019 Kilkenny Musical Festival.
No strangers to live performances
Intonations has performed in many venues around Waterford but this is their first time taking to the stage at Garter Lane. You might have seen them recently at various points along the Greenway, or at St Patrick's Gateway Centre where they sang for the Deise Animal Sanctuary.
Choir members Teresa Jane Farinha and Pádraig Ó Griofa joined me On the Fringe to discuss the benefits of being in a choir, and also of course to give the details of what people can expect at Garter Lane on Saturday May 25th.
