Multi award winner Colin Stafford-Johnson is considered one of the foremost nature and wildlife cinematographers and presenters in Ireland today. He's been likened to David Attenborough.
Colin has been walking, exploring and filming wildlife all over the world for many years, including along Ireland's wild Atlantic coast over the last 15 years. He recently presented the BBC series Wild Ireland - Edge of the World - that featured some of his highlights.
This Autumn he's bringing his tour My Wild Atlantic Journey to Waterford, showing at Theatre Royal on September 18th. You'll find out more here.
Have a listen to Colin's chat with me On the Fringe ahead of that...
Jetty Stars is a harrowing one-woman-play about Stella, who worked as a prostitute in Waterford in the 1980s. The radio version of this powerful play, which was broadcast on WLR, was recently nominated for an IMRO award, with Lorraine Murphy in the lead.
This time Jetty Stars takes to the stage at Garter Lane Arts Centre on September 20th and 21st, and Noelle Clarke takes on the role of Stella. You can find out more here.
Noelle was kind enough to travel from Fermoy and join me in studio ahead of that, to chat about the role...
Glue is the first feature-length film by Irish artist Oisín Byrne, with artist and collaborator Gary Farrelly. The film is told through manic and confessional monologues and dialogues by Gary – a cross-dressing narcoleptic. You'll find out more about the Lismore Castle Arts programme here.
Oisín and Gary dropped into me for a chat, where they talked about working together, where the film was shot, the themes and subjects, and lots more.
