On Saturday February 22nd, members of the public are invited to go and see Art at Arclabs between 3pm and 6pm. Arclabs, the research and innovation hub, is based at WIT's West Campus in Carriganore. The idea behind this initiative is to enhance this working space with art, while also offering local artists the opportunity to showcase their work. If you want to come along to the open afternoon, you can book here.

Ahead of all that, I headed out to Arclabs and spoke to centre manager Aisling O'Neill, as well as to current Artist-in-Residence Peter Binder. You can listen back to our chat here..

Take off your Cornflakes is a poignant play starring Rose Henderson and Pat Nolan, who also co-wrote the production. It tells the story of an elderly couple Tom and Trish, and how they both cope with the fact that Tom has Alzheimers. Rose tells me she has personal experience of this disease and she tried to tell the story with as much empathy and humour as possible. The play comes to Theatre Royal on February 27th, you can read more here.
