"Blue" is an exhibition running at the recently reopened space at Garter Lane
As part of a phased re-opening, the public can now return to the exhibition space at Garter Lane Arts Centre. I chatted to the centre's director, Síle Penkert, about the work that has gone on behind the scenes, and about Blue, the current exhibition running at Garter Lane.
Covid Care Concerts is part funded by the Ireland Funds and is a new project that has been devised by the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival (BVOF) and Mobile Music Machine (MMM) in response to the many social challenges presented by Covid 19 in residential care home settings.
Already up and running, it involves a classical music ensemble visiting care homes in Waterford, and performing in a safe and socially distant way for the residents.
