Founded in 1999 by the O’Brien family with just 5 cabs, Rapid Cabs has grown larger, employed more and supported Waterford charities and the community for 21 years.
In 1999 with just 5 drivers, they made about 18,000 trips!
In 2020 with 100 drivers they will make 380,000 trips transporting nearly one million people.
Three quarters of their staff have been with them for over 10 years, with nearly 60% loyal for over 15 years.
In 2002, Rapid Cabs computerised their taxi system and in 2013 they launched the first taxi app in the south east.
2o2o is the year they will launch their new website and new app, so it's already looking like a big year ahead for the Rapid Cabs team!
