MAY (MARY) HARNEY, Mount Sion Avenue, Waterford City, Waterford, formerly of Congress Place

Who died on 20th December 2025

May passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

With heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care, she received from all the staff of the Oak Ward, University Hospital, Waterford during her short illness.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy, parents John and Catherine, sister Kitty, brothers Bernard and Michael.

Sadly, missed by her son Ted, daughters Catherine, Ann and Mary, daughter-in-law Alison, sons-in-law Richard and Keith, grandchildren Caroline, Andrew, Daniel, Ethan, Joel, Eli, Jay, Samuel, Angel, Adagh, Layla, Isobel, Emily and great granddaughter Abi, brother David, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Monday (22nd December) from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8:00 pm.

May’s funeral cortege will walk from Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Tuesday (23rd December) to Ballybricken Church for Requiem Mass on arrival at 12:30pm followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner.
