Late Eileen O’Mahoney, née Hughes, Ballinroad Upper, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, and formerly of St. Thomas’ Terrace, Dungarvan.

Former Principal of Glenbeg National School, Dungarvan.

Eileen passed away peacefully on the 15th of January 2026, in the tender care of staff at St. Enda’s Unit, Dungarvan Community Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents William and Mona (née Terry), brother Jimmy, sisters-in-law Mary (née Moore) and Breda (née McGrath), other members of the Hughes Family (Dungarvan) and O’Mahoney Family (Clogheen).
Eileen is deeply mourned and sadly missed by her husband Michael, sons Niall and Eoin, daughter-in-law Liz (Elizabeth) grandchildren Alice and Lara, brothers Michael, John and Liam, sisters-in-law Mary and Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Eileen will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Sunday evening, 18th January, from 5 p.m. with Prayers at 7 p.m.
Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday morning, 19th January, in St. Laurence’s Church, Ballinroad.
Cremation Service at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon at The Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
