A man in his 30s has died following a collision between a truck and a car in Waterford this afternoon.
The two vehicle crash happened at Newtown, Kilmacthomas on the N25 at about 1.30pm.
The man was the sole occupant of the car.
The driver of the truck was taken to hospital with what are understood to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The N25 is closed pending a Garda technical examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Any drivers who might have camera footage and were on the N25, in the Newtown vicinity, between 1.15pm and 1.40pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
