Yellow wind warning issued for Waterford

A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued by Met Éireann for Waterford.

It's valid on Friday August 23rd from 12am until 6am.

The forecaster is warning that unseasonably strong and gusty south to southwest winds veering west to northwest will coincide with very high tides.

Potential impacts include coastal flooding, wave over-topping, power outages and fallen trees.

The warning relates to all counties in Munster as well as Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster.

Met Éireann has already issued a High Tide Advisory for all Irish coasts and Waterford Council has issued advice to the public.
