A status yellow warning has been reduced by Met Eireann.
The alert was due to run nationally until 9pm, however, only western coastal counties remain.
Met Eireann says the status yellow wind warning will cover 10 counties until later tonight bringing gale force winds.
Locally, there have been reports of trees down in a number of areas across Waterford, including near Tallow and Villierstown in the west.
While flooding's been reported at Poleberry and a trampoline has blown from a house near the Butlerstown Roundabout in the city.
According to Met Éireann, Waterford may still experience some heavy rainfall, but not enough to warrant a weather warning.
