A woman in her 40s remains in hospital this afternoon following road crash on the new rath roundabout this morning.
The incident happened at around 11.20am when a van driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with the pedestrian.
Gardai, Fire Services and an ambulance crew responded to the call-out and the woman has been taken to Waterford University Hospital.
Her injuries are thought to be non life threatening while the driver was uninjured.

Gardai have confirmed WLR News that cleaning operations have taken place on the roundabout and the road has since been reopened.
The van has been seized awaiting examination.
