Kieran O'Connor says he cannot believe it. "My aim was €5,000 to €6,000 but to raise this kind of money, I just want to thank everyone involved."
"The need is greater this year than ever but my god have the farming community and indeed the general public come on board. I'm really blown away, the Farmview Auction for 2020 has raised over €8,700."
If you bought items during the auction, you can collect your purchases from Glanbia's Country Life stores in Dungarvan and Kilmeaden.
The WLR Christmas Appeal is continuing.
More than €65,000 has been raised so far.
