WLR listeners turned out in their droves last night for the annual WLR Farmview auction which delivered another record breaking amount.

The on-air event, steered by Kieran O’Connor and Seán Organ, ran from 6 to 8 p.m. and featured nearly 100 items.

When the phones stopped ringing, the tally hit €14,825, a number that thrilled the team, who spent much of the evening juggling a steady storm of phone bids.

The phone lines were manned by Gillian O’Sullivan, Seán Osborne, and John Keane.

Every euro raised will be distributed across St. Vincent de Paul conferences throughout County Waterford, where the need this year is running especially high.

WLR extended a warm thank-you to listeners who bid, the local businesses that donated items, and Tirlan, the generous sponsor that helped make the auction possible.

Congrats to all involved.
