WLR is pleased to announce the signing of a new ten-year sound broadcasting contract for Waterford City and County with Coimisiún na Meán.

The contract marks a significant milestone in WLR's commitment to delivering a high-quality, broad-format local radio and content service to the people of Waterford.

The new agreement solidifies WLR's dedication to serving the community with informative, entertaining, and locally relevant content.

Throughout the duration of the contract, WLR aims to enhance its programming, engage with diverse audiences, be innovative and contribute to the cultural, business, and social fabric of County Waterford.

This contract will be WLR’s fifth contract having signed its first one in 1989.
