It's been a year like no other and for many, it has meant the need is greater than ever.
That’s why WLR’S ‘Be A Little Star’ Christmas Appeal for the St Vincent de Paul goes full steam ahead for this festive season 2020 – and as ever, your help would be much appreciated!
This year’s appeal focuses on a number of key events over the coming weeks and we want you to ‘Be A Little Star’ and sign up to support these!
Food should not be a luxury item yet a third of calls made to the St Vincent de Paul are from families struggling to buy it.
The money raised from this year’s appeal, as ever, will go directly to individuals and families in need right here in our community in Waterford city, Tramore, mid-county, Dungarvan and West Waterford.
We might all be far apart this year but that doesn’t mean we can’t come together in our support.
This year’s events include ‘Wear Red and Run’, ‘Wear Red to Work’, ‘Christmas Swim’ the novelty ’12 Dogs of Christmas’ and a much-anticipated ‘Visit Santa’ at The Copper Coast Mini Farm which is brought to us by our friends in Waterford Fire Station who will transform it into something of a ‘winter wonderland’ for the occasion!
There’s also ‘Care for A Cuppa’ and ‘1000k in a day’ and many other events being held by long and loyal friends of the annual appeal.
