WLR FM has been recognised for its contribution to Ireland's media landscape.
At the Radio Days Ireland 2020 conference, sixteen stations were celebrated for 30 years of broadcasting.
They included WLR, Cork's 96 FM, C103, 98FM, South East Radio, East Coast FM, Shannonside, Midlands 103, Tipp FM, Galway Bay FM, Radio Kerry, LMFM, Clare FM, FM104, Midwest Radio and Highland Radio.
Presentations were made to all of the stations at dinner at the Gibson Hotel.
Dr Pauric Travers, Chairman of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, congratulated the stations that 'stayed the course'.

Radio Days Ireland is a unique radio conference that brings experts from the radio world to Ireland.
WLR's Damien Tiernan was part of a panel that discussed the future of news.
A number of musicians performed at the event including Tramore's Moncrieff.
