Winterval has announced a significant expansion to its 2026 programme with the introduction of The Hive, a brand-new 1,000-capacity venue set to transform the festival’s evening entertainment offering.

The purpose-built space will host a packed schedule of top-tier comedy and live music acts throughout the festive season. Designed with comfort and atmosphere in mind, The Hive will be fully heated, fully floored, and fully seated—ensuring audiences can enjoy performances in warmth and style, regardless of winter weather.

In addition to the main performance area, the venue will include a dedicated foyer and bar tent, creating a welcoming social space for visitors to gather before and after shows.

Festival organisers say the addition of The Hive marks a major step forward for Winterval, allowing the event to broaden its programme and attract larger-scale acts to Ireland’s largest Christmas festival. The new venue is expected to play a central role in enhancing the festival’s nighttime offering and encouraging visitors to extend their stay in the city.
