Waterford’s Amy Coffey  has been named winner of the Blue Jean Country Queen Festival.

The Macra na Feirme festival was held in Athboy, County Meath at the weekend.

Melleray native and Cappoquin Macra member Amy represented Waterford and came away with the overall title. 

It’s the first time Waterford has won the title in 22 years. Amy is the second ever Waterford winner and a niece of the previous Waterford winner Carol Byrne.
Amy was presented with the perpetual cup, tiara and golden sash and also receives €1,000 from Le Chéile Credit Union.
