A 45-foot whale has washed up onto Kilfarrasy Beach in County Waterford.
Tramore Eco Group has shared pictures of the large mammal on their social media pages.
They say it appears to be a Baleen Whale.
Instead of teeth, these types of whales have baleen plates, bristles made out of keratin - the same protein that makes up our fingernails and hair. They strain large volumes of water through the plates trapping the food.
There are 14 species of baleen whale including the blue whale, bowhead, right, humpback, minke and grey whale.
