A well-known multi-billionaire is seeking to make changes to a protected structure in Co. Waterford.
Ballynatray House, Co. Waterford was sold earlier this year.
The proposed works include the Demolition of the existing 1980s single-story west extension at the basement floor.
Plans also include the construction of a new single-story extension, with a new terrace and external stairs to the basement level.
Works also include alterations to existing hard landscaping and garden walls and minor internal alterations.
The estate was recently purchased by multi-billionaire James Dyson, who scooped the property in the region of 30 million euros.
Dyson is best known as the founder of the Dyson brand, which makes several household electrical items.
The house itself was built in the early half of the seventeenth century by Sir Richard Smyth and continually renovated by successive generations, with the building restored in the 90's.
