Many counties are under wind warnings as Storm Elin brings severe gusts that could cause disruption and travel difficulties.
According to Met Éireann, the storm is set to generate gale force west to northwest winds.
Status Orange alerts have been issued for Wicklow from 11am to 5pm, for Dublin from midday to 3pm and for Donegal from 2pm to 6pm.
Donegal also has two Status Yellow wind and rain warnings for later today with strong and gusty west winds combined with heavy falls of rain at times.
These alerts are from midday to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm, which could see difficult travelling conditions and the possibility of debris.
Yellow wind warnings are also in place for strong and gusty west to northwest winds with the potential for wave overtoppping in Connacht, Clare, and Tipperary until 6pm.
A yellow alert is also in place for Leinster, Cavan and Monaghan from 10am to 8pm.
Tomorrow, Status Yellow wind warnings have been issued for the west coast counties of Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim.
