A moderate yellow low temperature warning has been issued for Waterford, coming into effect this evening.
Met Eireann has outlined that it will be very cold with widespread frost and ice as temperatures fall to -3 degrees or below in many areas.
Potential impacts incude hazardous travelling conditions and animal welfare issues.
The yellow warning will be in place from 6pm this evening Thursday January 2nd until 11am on Friday January 3rd.
