Well-known photographer, Joe Evans was the recipient of the Denny Corcoran Unsung Hero award at last week's production of 'Bonnie and Clyde' in Garter Lane.
Joe is a regular face at events across the county, from political events, intimate community fundraisers, musicals and stage productions, and school concerts.
Those who know Joe will know that he prefers to remain anonymously behind the lens of the camera, shying away from any accolades.
In recent years, Joe has published photographic books and calendars, in conjunction with Waterford News & Star, his dedication to capturing the social and cultural landscape of Waterford driving the projects.
At the David Hennessy Musical & Dramatic Society's production of Bonnie and Clyde, the Denny Corcoran Unsung Hero Award was presented to Joe.
Not expecting the honour, he attempted to avoid the spotlight, however later he commented: "There are more deserving people who could have won this award but it is much appreciated and an honour to have been presented with it."
He added: "To the two people who stopped my escape, you know who you."
