Waterford's Covid-19 incidence rate remains low as Donegal's climbs above 300

Waterford, once again, has the lowest incidence rate of Covid-19 in the country.

According to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, 37 cases were confirmed here over the last two weeks.

That includes 8 cases from Monday which were part of the figures announced on Tuesday.

The incidence rate per 100,000 people is now 31.8 in Waterford, up from 31 yesterday.

Louth is the only county where the rate fell, there was no change in Wicklow, every other county saw an increase. Ten counties now have incidence rates above 100.

The national rate is now 124.4.

In Donegal, it's as high as 312.2.

Elsewhere in the South East, Wexford's incidence rate has jumped to 72.1. That's followed by Tipperary on 54.5, Kilkenny on 51.4 and Carlow on 42.2.

275 cases were diagnosed across the South East from the 23rd of September to the 6th of October.

The mean age is 41 and 122 cases are associated with clusters.
