Road conditions throughout Waterford City and County are treacherous this morning following heavy snow showers.
Met Eireann has issued a Level Orange severe weather alert in Waterfird until 12 midday tomorrow.
Heavy snow showers will continue today, tonight and during tomorrow with snow accumulations up to 8cm.
It looks like all schools in Waterford will close today. Confirmed so far.
The Primary Gaelscoil in Ballygunner is closed as is Fenor and Portlaw.
Mount Sion Primary School is closed . As is the secondary school. Abbey Community College Ferrybank is also closed.
St. Mary's National School in Ballygunner is also closed.
Three primary schools in Tramore are closed, Holy Cross, Philib Barun and Glor Na Mara.
St. Pauls National School in Waterford City is closed.
Ursuline Primary and Secondary Schools are closed.

Suirway's local commuter bus services in the Waterford area will not operate today
Bus services between Waterford and Dunmore East, Passage East and Portlaw will not operate due to local road conditions, black ice and heavy snowfall
