The planned watersports facilities at Tramore and Ardmore could be finished by 2024.
That's according to members of Waterford Council.
The centres planned in both areas since last year, will provide secure changing facilities, hot showers, and orientation space for activity providers.
A fully equipped centre is planned for on the Prom in Tramore and in the carpark in Ardmore.

A €19 million Fáilte Ireland scheme will enable the development of 22 of these facilities for water sports across Ireland.
Waterford council CEO Michael Walsh says the works are progressing locally at the moment following €860,000 in funding.
