Bus transfers are now in place between Waterford and Thomastown stations.
Two status yellow warnings are in force for Waterford for heavy rain and strong winds.
Met Eireann warned that exceptionally high tides combined with strong onshore winds could result in an elevated risk of coastal flooding.
Both warnings remain in place until 3.00 pm today.
