A jam packed series of events are taking place across Waterford for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations this weekend.
Six parades in total will take place across the city and county, with thousands of spectators anticipated to attend.
We have done the hard work for you and compiled a list of all the parades, so you can decide where is best to go!
Waterford City
Festivities are already underway already in the city, with a weekend full of something for everyone.
The parade leaves the Bus Station on the Quay at 1pm and will then move towards the Mall and onto Parnell Street.
There will also be an autism friendly viewing area on the Mall for those who require it.
WLR will be broadcasting live from the event.
A full list of events can be found here.
Tramore
Tramore is gearing up for its biggest St. Patrick’s Day parade yet.
Music gets underway in Canon’s Field from 12pm, with the parade starting at 1.30.
Leading the parade as Grand Marshall in Tramore this year is Ambrose Murphy and Tramore Taekwondo.
The parade will make its way out the Old Waterford Road before making a right turn towards Riverstown and down towards the Majestic Hotel.
Cappoquin
Cappoquin locals are calling on people to support this year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade more than ever.
This comes following the death of one of the parade’s founders.
First established in 2008, the parade remains one of the main annual events in the region.
The parade will get underway at 12.30pm and involve the entire community.
Clashmore
The St. Patrick’s Day parade returns to Clashmore and Kinsalebeg for the third year running.
Born out of post-lockdown times, the parade celebrates the tight-knit community in West Waterford.
Beginning at noon, the parade will travel down Main Street, beginning at the church.
Portlaw
Minor Camógie star Abby Burrows has been granted the honour for 2025 as Grand Marshal of the town’s St Patrick’s Day parade.
The parade will start at 12 noon from the church carpark with groups asked to arrive atleast 20 minutes early.
The parade will then proceed down Chapel Hill and past Coolfin where all the floats will join behind the walkers.
The parade will then proceed toward Queen Street and conclude in the Square.
Dungarvan
1,500 balls will be released as part of ball-run in this year’s Dungarvan St. Patrick’s Day parade.
This year’s events feature a host of events and entertainment getting underway from Sunday evening.
The parade itself features a new route this year and gets underway on Monday from 2pm.
The parade will start at Crotty’s Corner and finish at Mitchell Street.
