A shop in Waterford was forced to close last month due to a rodent infestation.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland ordered Asian Food Markets at Park Road Business Park in Waterford City to shut due to the outbreak.
They were closed from the 6th to the 19th of November.
An HSE Inspector discovered that:
"Rodent droppings were found on the vast majority of shop shelving on which foods were displayed for sale.
"Rodent droppings were found on packets of food, in the wash hand basin in the butchery area, and on the floor in various areas throughout the shop.
"Gnawed packets of rice flour were on display for sale on shop shelving.
"A large amount of rodent droppings were found in the back store."
Three Enforcement Orders were served on food businesses in November.
The Enforcement Orders were issued by environmental health officers in the @HSELive and officers of the FSAI.
