Four food businesses across the country, including one in Waterford City, were found to be in breach of food safety legislation in January.
Mercury retailer, located on Park Road, Waterford was served with a prohibition order by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.
The order is served if there is no compliance with food legislation relating to a particular consignment, class, batch or item of food and if the food in question is likely to involve a serious risk to public health.
The effect of the order is to prohibit the sale of of the products. Three of their products were withdrawn from shelves on January 19th.
Three businesses, located in Dublin, Clare and Galway received enforcement orders.
