Waterford plane crash pilot named as Turkish national

The name the pilot who died in last Thursday’s Waterford plane crash as a Turkish father of two.
Turkish media confirmed that Bircan Dokuzlar was the man who lost his life when the light aircraft came down near Lisselan on November 20.
The Vulcanair P68C went down at around 12.50pm as it approached Waterford Airport.
Investigators believe the plane was travelling from Sligo to Béziers in France when it developed engine problems roughly 50 kilometres off the Irish coast.
Mr Dokuzlar was the only person on board. An official investigation into the Waterford Airport crash is continuing.
