There is an appeal to Waterford people to help provide winter clothes to Ukrainian kids.

Natalya Bubenko has been living in Ireland since 2015, and she set up an online fundraiser on behalf of a group of Ukranian folk singers she is involved with.

As Winter approaches and many kids are left without parents, Natalya wants to do what she can to help.

"We were all kids at one stage and we know how helpless we can be," she said.

She said some essentials have already been sent, but the children need warm clothes.

In 2015, when troubles started in Ukraine, the group began singing to raise money for families effected, and they haven't stopped since.

The group have been helping people send items such as baby food and nappies to Ukraine.
