Waterford and Longford were the only counties in the country with less than (<5) Covid-19 cases reported in today's figures from the Health Protection Centre.
Furthermore, Waterford now has the lowest incidence rate in the country at 61.1 per 100,000 of the population. (Sept 28th to Oct 11th)
The incidence rate has fallen, slightly as it was 63.7 yesterday, and over the past two weeks, there were 71 new cases of Covid-19 in the county.
Nationwide the HPSC was notified of 825 cases and of one additional death related to COVID-19 nationwide.
Of the cases notified today (as of midnight Sunday 11th October)
- 426 are men / 392 are women
- 78% are under 45 years of age
- The median age is 30 years old
- 254 in Dublin, 147 in Cork, 39 in Cavan, 38 in Donegal, 37 in Kildare and the remaining 310 cases are spread across 20 other counties.
As of 2pm today 224 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 32 are in ICU. 20 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
