A 90-year-old Waterford woman received a 'garda escort' to get her Covid-19 vaccine this week.
The roll-out of the jab to people over the age of 70 is continuing at GP clinics and vaccination clinics across the country.
It got underway with the over 85 age group on the 16th of February.
Community Gardai have played their part in helping people make their appointments using the Garda Community Bus to transport one 90-year old lady to her appointment
Garda Powederly and Hickey of Waterford Garda Station assisted a 90 year old lady in getting to her vaccination appointment when she was unable to travel. The Garda Community Bus was used to bring her to the clinic and back home.
