Gardaí are investigating a fire that broke out at a premises on Newgate Street in Waterford.
It happened in the early hours of last Friday morning.
The roof of a shed was ablaze but was extinguished by the fire service at 2.30.
Gardaí are asking anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them.
They are also investigating an assault that happened during the day last Friday.
A man was attacked by three men on Michael Street, between 5 and 5.30pm.
Speaking on this week's Waterford Garda Watch, Garda Iain O'Byrne says they're anxious for witnesses to come forward.
"Anyone who was in the vicinity and noticed any suspicious behaviour is asked to contact Waterford Garda Station please," he said.
The man was punched in the face and suffered from a cut lip.
He did not need any hospital treatment.
