The day-to-day challenges of Gardaí in Waterford are being featured in a new RTÉ series.
'On the Beat', a three-part series, began on RTÉ One last night at 9.35pm.
The series goes behind the front desks, inside the patrol cars and on the beat with frontline Gardaí in Waterford, Dundalk and Longford.
It was filmed over three months and highlights the challenges faced by the Gardaí policing urban and rural Ireland.

Among those to feature in last night's episode from Waterford Garda Station was Garda Clodagh Horgan (pictured below on right).
