Waterford farmers were among those to take part in a protest outside Minister for Agriculture Martin Heydon’s constituency office in Co Kildare yesterday (Saturday).

The action by the Irish Farmers’ Association (IFA) in Newbridge was part of a dispute with Bord Bia.

Farmers assembled at the constituency office of Agriculture Minister Martin Heydon, with tractors, machinery and a large number of farmers on foot taking part.

The demonstration comes as the IFA protest outside Bord Bia headquarters enters its fourth week.

The organisation began its action on January 26th after it emerged that Dawn Farms, the company led by Murrin as CEO, imports Brazilian beef as part of its supply chain.
