Gardaí in Waterford have seized drugs worth more than €30,000.
It was found in a house in Cherrymount after officers arrested a 28 year old man yesterday.
Members of the Waterford Divisional Drugs Unit were carrying out surveillance in the Ballybricken area yesterday afternoon.
They approached a suspect shortly after 4.30pm.
The man fled on foot, dropping a bag believed to contain cocaine worth just over €1,000
Garda arrested the man and he was detained at Waterford Garda Station.
In a follow up search, Gardaí discovered over €30,000 worth of cannabis resin.
The 28 year old man was later released from custody and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
