A driver in Waterford has been arrested after he was clocked travelling 68kph over the limit on the Waterford bypass.
The incident happened just past the Thomas Francis Meagher Bridge and the said driver was caught driving 168 kph in a 100 kph zone.
Gardaí in Roads Policing were operating a speed detection checkpoint on the Waterford By-Pass when they detected a driver travelling at 168 kph in a 100 kph zone.
The driver was arrested for Dangerous Driving.

The Waterford Garda Roads Policing Unit were operating a speed detection checkpoint on the bypass at the time.
The driver was arrested for Dangerous Driving after they were detected travelling over the limit.
Court proceedings are due to follow.
