Met Eireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for rain, in four counties in the south east.
Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow and Wexford are impacted, with persistent downpours on the way from midnight.
While in the East, Wicklow is also set to be affected.
The weather warning will last almost the entire day, and it expires at 11pm tomorrow night.
Forecasters are also warning of some possible localised flooding because of the rainfall.
Drivers are warned to be careful on the roads, as there is a risk of spot flooding.
This is the second rain warning in the county this week.
