A Waterford charity is offering vouchers to people who want to spay or neuter their cats or dogs.
The Waterford Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will be helping those who can't afford it to get the procedures done.
The offer is valid for two pets per home and is an attempt to cut back on the number of unwanted puppies and kittens that get handed in to them.
It is not available to everyone, but only to those who cannot afford it normally.
The charity will be offering vouchers of €30 for female cats and €40 for males, while its €40 for male dogs and €60 for females
You will need to bring a household bill with your name and address on it.
"Prevention is better than cure" is the attitude of the Society.
Now is the right time to get these procedures done as it is unlikely that your animals will be pregnant.
