People across Waterford City and County have been celebrating St. Patrick's Day 2024.

Thousands of spectators descended on the city for one of the largest parades to date, which was part of a four day festival of events taking place this year.

The parade began at 1pm at the Bus Station on the Quay and made its way onto The Mall, past the viewing stand and onto Parnell Street.

Members of the Waterford Senior Camogie Team were Grand Marshals, while WLR's Oliver Carroll and Dymphna Nugent were comperes.
